These 18 UGE credit hours may overlay with the business general studies requirements in communication electives, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. At least 6 of the 18 UGE credit hours must be taken in courses numbered 300 or above. The business general education requirements include:

The remaining 12 hours may be taken from communications courses, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences or any course (except business) approved as UGE. One course dealing with history, geography, language, economics, or culture related to parts of the world other than the United States is also required. This course can overlay with other course requirements.
