K-State Systems
Two business days after you have been admitted, login to your application status page to retrieve your Wildcat ID to set up your K-State eID. Your eID provides access to many of K-State's systems, including K-State webmail. (Your eID precedes "@k-state.edu" to create your official university email address.)
Keep your password safe, never share your password via email and know that no one at K-State will ever ask you for your eID password. Connect with the iTAC Help Desk with questions.
Financial aid
Student financial assistance has many resources to give you confidence as you complete the FAFSA. Add K-State to your current FAFSA or complete your FAFSA for the upcoming academic year.
How transfer credit applies to your degree
K-State values your prior learning experiences and offers several options to assess your college-level learning. Use our online tools as a guide to transfer equivalencies, military and test credit.
Then sign in to your KSIS account to access the Degree Audit Report System, or DARS, to track progress toward your degree. Some courses may require a syllabus to determine how they transfer to K-State.
On-campus housing
The residence hall and apartment interest form opens September 15 and the housing contract opens in
- October for new spring residents and
- December for new fall residents.
Some transfer students may be required to live on campus. Use our housing portal to manage all your room, roommate and meal planning.
K-State Scholarship Network
The K-State Scholarship Network, KSN, is a platform for you to share more details about yourself, your academic interests and your involvement. Once you are admitted, you can create a KSN profile, which may match you to additional scholarship opportunities. For Summer 2023 and forward admits, you will need to create an eID and password.
The deadline to create and submit your KSN profile and application is March 15. Most colleges and departments award scholarships for the academic year beginning in the fall.
Once submitted, you'll receive a confirmation email via your official K-State email address.
Recent system outages at K-State may delay the activation of your K-State eID. Thank you for your patience.
New Student Orientation
You will be notified via email when registration for New Student Orientation opens for your entry term.
- Fall – Select from dates in April, June or August
- Spring – Select a date in November or January
Academic file completion
Send your final official transcripts from every college and university you attended to the Office of Recruitment and Admissions. If you took advanced placement exams, send those scores as well.
Onboard with student health
Log in to your myLafene+ patient portal to upload your insurance card and the required immunizations. State and university policy requires all students to complete the Tuberculosis Screening Questionnaire and submit proof of two Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccines. If you are living in campus housing, you are required to also submit proof of one Meningococcal ACWY booster vaccine.
Students are invited to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination. This information helps the university make decisions about COVID-19 health and wellness guidance and supports the return to normal activities. You can upload this while you submit your other required vaccinations.
Billing
Transfer students who enroll in April or June can access their tuition bill in KSIS in mid-July. Bills generated in July are due by 3 p.m. on the first day of class in August (Fall semester).
Transfer students who enroll in November will see their first tuition bill in December. Bills generated in December are due by 3 p.m. on the first day of class in January (Spring semester).
Any pending financial aid is listed as a courtesy but will not be officially credited to your account immediately. Pending financial aid will be credited to your tuition account by the due date on the bill, in accordance with regulations, and may change if you change enrolled credit hours.
