Drop Dates

Course drop dates are calculated by counting calendar days and include Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. When a refund date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, the refund must be processed no later than the next business day in Enrollment Services, 210 Willard Hall, 8:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. For refund dates please see the Academic Calendar.

The last day to drop a course with 98 or more calendar days (14 or more weeks in length) without a W being recorded is the end of the 36th calendar day of the term, February 19. After the 68th day of the term, March 23, courses may not be dropped. For courses with 97 or less calendar days, the drop dates are prorated. Refer to Non Standard Drop/Refund Dates - S09.

iSIS Student Self Service

After your assigned enrollment appointment time you can drop regular courses with 98 or more calendar days (14 or more weeks in length) through the 68th day, March 23. You can add a regular course with 98 or more calendar days (14 or more weeks in length) through the 7th calendar day, January 22.

Dean’s Office

After your assigned enrollment appointment time has passed you will need to visit your Dean’s Office to drop or add.

Required Signatures

Advisor must release appropriate service indicator for drop/add transactions for students in the Colleges of Agriculture, Architecture/Planning/Design, Education, Engineering, and Human Ecology beginning January 23.

Instructors can sign an Instructor/Department iSIS Class Permission form (available to instructors from their department office) for closed or permission courses. Instructor/Department permission for adds is required beginning the 8th calendar day of the term, January 23, for regular courses.

For non-standard courses, instructor permission is required once the course has begun.
