    Drop Dates

    Course drop dates are calculated by counting calendar days and include Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Drop deadline dates that fall on Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday are extended through the next business day. A change of reference numbers is considered a Drop/Add.

    The last day to drop a course with 98 or more calendar days (14 or more weeks in length) without a W being recorded is the end of the 36th calendar day of the semester, September 25. After the 68th day of the semester, October 27 courses may not be dropped. For courses with 97 or less calendar days, the drop dates are prorated. Refer to Course Drops by Days , Course Refunds by Days and Drop & Refunds for Short Courses.

    After your assigned enrollment time (Enrollment Time Chart) you can drop or add between 7:00am-9:00pm Mon-Fri. through August 27. Know your eID and password.

    Walk-Through

    After your assigned enrollment time, (Enrollment Time Chart) you can drop or add at Enrollment Services 210 Willard Hall between 8:15am-11:45am, 1:00pm-4:45pm.

    Drop/Add forms required at Enrollment Services. Drop/Add forms are available in the hallway across from 210 Willard Hall.

    Required Signatures

    Instructors can give an electronic permission via KATS or sign a Course Section Permit form (available to instructors from their department office) for closed/permission courses. Instructor permission for adds is required beginning the 8th calendar day of the semester (August 28) for courses with 70 or more calendar days (10 or more weeks in length).
    Courses with 69 or less calendar days, instructor permission required once the course has begun.
    Dean’s permission for enrollment is required beginning the 15th calendar day of the semester (September 4) for courses with 70 or more calendars days (10 or more weeks in length).

    Advisor signatures are required for drop/add for students in the Colleges of Agriculture, Architecture/Planning/Design, Education, Engineering, and Human Ecology beginning August 28.
